Next Opera

From the shimmering forests of Dvořák's The Golden Spinning Wheel to the shadowed, echoing halls of Bartók's Bluebeard's Castle, we invite you to step into a night where fairytales and legends come alive through music and storytelling.
For the first time, we open with a purely orchestral masterpiece — a radiant tone poem that breathes life into a Czech folk legend: The Golden Spinning Wheel.
When the golden light fades, the castle gates will close… and Bartók's Bluebeard's Castle will begin. Our two extraordinary soloists — their powerful voices soaring above the largest orchestra we have ever assembled — will draw you into a world of mystery, beauty, and fate in this semi-staged production.
This is our most ambitious project to date: an epic 35-piece orchestra, complete with harp and the mighty organ, delivering a night of unforgettable sound.
And it will happen only once.
25 October, 7.30 pm, St Paul's Cathedral, Clifton.
