About us

Tessitoura was founded in 2010 by Arne and Dajana Kovac, who wanted to share their love for opera and bring the joy and excitement to a wider audience. The company soon became known for unique and intimate performances.  With a team of experienced performers and aspiring young singers we also showcase a range of classical vocal music in unconventional settings. 

Opera has long been considered an art form for the elite, but more and more companies are changing this perception, breaking boundaries and bringing opera to new audiences. In Bristol we are lucky to be spoiled for choice! A range of fantastic new and established companies are bringing the magic of opera to audiences of all backgrounds and ages. Tessitoura feels proud to be part of this shared goal, bringing opera and more to Bristol and beyond since 2010.
