A lovely afternoon of tunes, shortbread a maybe even a cheeky glass of Scottish Whisky. We chose songs by some of the greatest composers: Schumann, Beethoven, Shostakovich, Haydn, Mendelssohn, Ravel and Britten. And the second half will feature the cantata "The Jolly Beggars" by Henry R. Bishop, which was not published during Burn's lifetime due to its controversial political and at the time inappropriate content! We are particularly excited that Bristol's own a cappella ensemble NotaBene is going to join us and treat us to some traditional tunes.
